'My Beloved is Mine, and I am His'
On Saturday, August 30, 2008, two young Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth pronounced their Final Vows in a beautiful Liturgy at the Generalate Chapel in Rome.

Immediately prior to this ceremony of final commitment, it is a custom in our Congregation that the Sisters who will be professed request a blessing from their parents. This takes the form of a prayer service during which the parents bless their daughter before she makes her Final Vows. The Sisters present for this prayer service also give their blessing individually to each Sister to be professed. It is a very touching experience.
Sister Gabriella Wedrzycka and Sister Marcelina Kula vowed their lives to Jesus forever, according to the Constitutions of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. At the time of Perpetual Profession, each Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth adds a "Mystery" after her name.  This "Mystery" signifies a personal understanding of, or a particular image of God which speaks to her heart. Sister Gabriella chose as her Mystery, "The Most Pure Blood of the Lamb"; Sister Marcelina chose as her Mystery, "The Glorious Cross of Jesus Christ". Each Sister pronounced her vows in the presence of Sister Janice Fulmer, Superior General, who accepted them in the name of the entire Congregation. As a sign of perpetual commitment, each Sister received a simple silver ring with the inscription, "My Beloved is Mine, and I am His".

The Liturgy was concelebrated by seven priests, friends of the two Sisters. Music for the ceremony was rendered by the Sisters' choir. Many family members and friends were present to affirm Srs. Gabriella and Marcelina in their commitment.  In addition, many Sisters of the Province came to give their assurance of support and love to these newly professed members of the Congregation. The afternoon was spent enjoying a festive dinner with all present, taking pictures, exchanging greetings, and wishing God's Blessings to Srs. Gabriella and Marcelina.
