Chapter Steering Committee |
In January 2013, a new Provincial Leadership team will be installed in Holy Family Province, USA. In anticipation of this, there is much work to be done. To that end, a Chapter Steering Committee was formed in July 2011 to assist in the planning of this process and to engage the whole province in a period of discernment and dialogue. The members of this committee are: Srs. Barbara Jean Wojnicki, Malgorzata Majszczyk, Marita Ruppe, Michele Vincent Fisher, Rita Fanning, Thea Krause and Virginette Rypniewski.

The Steering Committee conducted meetings with the Sisters in every area of the province, gathering their input on hopes and expectations for the next leadership team, as well as the issues that will need to be addressed in the future. This input was used to help formulate possible models of governance for the new administration. The structure of the current Provincial Administration (Nine members including area councilors with responsibilities in each of the previous provinces) was an exception that was granted at the time of the reconfiguration of the five U.S.provinces into one in 2007. Therefore, a new model needs to be discerned. The Province also engaged a facilitator, Sr. Janet Baker, RSM, to work with the Sisters on this committee and to facilitate the Provincial Chapter meetings that will begin in February, 2012.
