On August 7th, during the Eucharist celebrated by Archbishop Stanisław Nowak, four Sister of the Cracow Province made their first profession: Karolina Juraszek, Debora Bysiek, Bogusława Kopka i Emilia Pociecha. The celebration took place in the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ Church in Częstochowa in the presence of Mother General Jana Zawieja, Sister Provincial Benedetta, superiors as well as families and friends. One of the Sisters who made vows wrote after the ceremony: Pronouncing with joy and a sense of responsibility our YES before God, we fulfilled what He in his great mercy planned before the ages. The thought that vows are first of all a Gift given by the Creator accompanied us at the time of the ceremony. Together with the grace of consecration we were given symbols of our union with Christ: black veils, crosses, our Covenant of Love and the lighted candles. Then we took part in the Eucharist to unite the sacrifice of our lives with Christ’s sacrifice. We are glad that we could make our first vows in this first year of our Congregational renewal and in the year of John Paul II’s beatification.
