PERPETUAL VOWS IN WARSAW

August is traditionally the month of first and perpetual religious vows in our Congregation. In Warsaw, a solemn Mass during which Sr. Milena Obrochta and Sr. Aleksandra Gajaszek took their perpetual vows was celebrated in the chapel of the provincial house. The Mass was presided over by His Excellency Piotr Jarecki, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Warsaw, together with priests invited by the sisters taking their vows. It was a great joy and an unforgettable experience for all those present and for the entire Congregation. We share the testimony and impressions of the main protagonists of this day – our newly professed Sisters:

A few days ago, on August 9, 2025, on the feast day of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, during the Jubilee Year of the Church, in the 150th year of the existence of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the moment I had been waiting for so long finally arrived. I made my perpetual profession. I said my final YES to God. There would be nothing strange about this, after all, I had been preparing for it for 10 years (since I entered the convent). However, it seems inconceivable to me when I realize that this is an extraordinary GRACE. I did not deserve it, and I received everything. I know my weakness and powerlessness, but I also recognize and am amazed almost every day by GOD’s faithfulness. It is in Him that I place my hope. And I know that I will not be disappointed, because He loves me not because I am good, but because He Himself is good. He is Love. And I am only getting to know and constantly learning to respond to this infinite, eternal Love. As St. John writes:
“We have come to know and believe in the love that GOD has for us. GOD is love.” (1 Jn 4:16)
May every person receive the grace to experience this.

The day of my perpetual vows was a day when I celebrated God’s faithfulness to His choice together with my family and loved ones. I felt immense joy that came from the depths of my heart, because the long-awaited moment had come to give my life to God forever, even though I know that it was really Jesus who gave me His heart and life.

This special day was filled with beautiful encounters, during which we shared our joy at the “mystery” of this event. It was an amazing day full of love, presence, and the experience of the Lord’s immense grace.
