On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Saint Katherine of Siena community in Philadelphia joyfully celebrated Jubilee of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. The solemn anniversary mass was celebrated by Archbishop Nelson Perez joined by Auxiliary Bishop Michael, J Fitzgerald, local pastor, Father Joseph S. Zaleski and Pastor Emeritus, Monsignor Paul M. Kennedy. Following mass, the Sisters, together with parishioners, family, and friends gathered in McBride Hall for a luncheon celebration.
A special moment came when our superior general, Sister Angela Marie Mazzeo, was honored with a resolution from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and a citation from Governor Josh Shapiro presented by State Senator Joe Picozzi, and State Representative Pat Gallagher.
It was a day filled with prayer, gratitude, and fellowship honoring the Sisters 150 years of faithful service and dedication to the church and local community.
