JUBILEE CELEBRATION IN ENGLAND

Jubilee Celebration of Thanksgiving for the 150th Anniversary of the Congregation and the 130th Anniversary of our Mission in England

On Sunday 28th September, 2025, in the Parish church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George, Enfield, a Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated in commemoration of 150 years of the Foundation of the Congregation and for 130 years of our mission in England.

The main celebrant was Fr Daniel Humphreys, the Parish priest, and the homily was given by Fr Artur Strzępka, the councillor of the Polish Catholic Mission. They were joined by concelebrants: Fr Axcel Soriano (assistant priest of the parish), Fr Sławomir Witoń, Fr John Casey, Fr Jean Pascal and Fr Anthony Convery. The Mass was beautifully animated by Sr Karen Trafankowska and her choir.

Sister Amabilis and Sister Speranza, from the General Administration, celebrated this occasion with us, as well as Sister Dorota, Provincial Superior of our province.

There was a good number of parishioners, friends and family members in attendance, as well as Renata Kowalska, General Councillor of the Polish Embassy. After Mass, everyone was invited to the Holy Family Convent for refreshments prepared by the Sisters and some volunteers.

It was a true Jubilee celebration where we experienced an atmosphere of deep gratitude, immense joy and renewed hope for the future of our congregation.
