It was a glorious and blessed day as we gathered to celebrate the 150th Jubilee of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. United in a spirit of prayer and gratitude, the Nazareth Academy Grade School community in Philadelphia joined with CSFN-sponsored ministries to honor the Sisters on this extraordinary milestone. Their tireless service to ministries in 16 countries around the world is a true inspiration. Closer to home, we give thanks for their unwavering support and the lasting impact they continue to make at Nazareth Academy Grade School.
The celebration was thoughtfully prepared by Principal Ms. Pugliese, Vice Principal Mrs. Rachel Merryman, Religion Teacher Ms. Broll, and Music Teacher Ms. Suzanne Trotter, and featured a joyful liturgy of song, prayer, and reflection. A highlight of the ceremony was the sharing of special recorded messages from Sister Angela Marie Mazzeo, Superior General, and Sister Thea Krause, Provincial Superior, who extended heartfelt words of gratitude and encouragement.
We were especially blessed to honor Sister Yvette, NAGS Finance Manager, and Sister Loretta Theresa, President of CSFN Mission and Ministry, who joined for the celebration. Photos of many Sisters who have faithfully served at Nazareth Academy Grade School through the years were displayed and warmly applauded, reminding us of the rich legacy of love and dedication that has shaped our community.
Our students lifted their voices in a joyful “Happy Jubilee” and later delighted in cupcakes arranged in the shape of 1-5-0. To further mark the occasion, the children created heartfelt personal greetings that will be shared with convents throughout the area, spreading love and gratitude for the Sisters’ remarkable 150 years of faithful service to God, the Church, and families. May God bless all of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.
