MEETING OF THE PROFESSED SISTERS IN ROME

It is a great joy to be together as Sisters, especially in a place that is the very heart of our Congregation.

From 27 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, we stayed in Rome on Via Nazareth, in the house that preserves the relics of our Blessed Mother Foundress. There, we spent several days together during the meeting of the Professed Sisters.

Twenty-six sisters arrived from many different countries—some from very distant places, including the United States, Belarus, Croatia, Ukraine, Poland, France, Italy, Spain, and Ghana. This time together gave us the opportunity to come to know one another better, to reunite after many years, and above all to live these days in the presence of our Mother Foundress, once again deepening our understanding of the charism of our Congregation.

Guided by Sr. Beata, we walked through the streets of Rome in the footsteps of Blessed Franciszka Siedliska, discovering with what perseverance and profound faith she sought places where she could “build Nazareth.” We visited sites especially dear to her, such as Via Machiavelli and Loreto, where her presence can still be deeply felt.

We also had the opportunity to explore the rich collection of our Mother Foundress’ writings preserved in the archives of the Generalate, and to listen to the thoughtful and inspiring reflections of Sr. Maria Kielanowicz on love and simplicity in the mission of Nazareth.

There was also time to visit and experience Rome, both together as a group under the guidance of Sr. Alina and individually.

Our meeting took place at a particularly meaningful moment in the life of the Church—during the Christmas season and at the conclusion of the Jubilee Year celebrations. This was a great gift of grace for all of us. We were able to participate in several liturgical celebrations at the Vatican presided over by the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV.

With heartfelt gratitude, we thank Sr. Angela Marie and the Sisters of the General Council, and especially Sr. Mari Fe, for organizing the meeting and accompanying us throughout these days.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the Sisters from our communities in Rome and the community in Loreto for welcoming us with such love and care.

Thanks be to God for the gift of Nazareth.
