POSTULANTS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Our Postulant Sisters from the Philippines wrote a few words about themselves:

Sr. Kate Andrea

I was born 22 years ago in the Province of Bukidnon. I only have one sister.  My parents and sister currently live together in our family home in Bukidnon.

I graduated Senior High School under the Accountancy, Business and Management Strand.  I came to know the Congregation through a vocation campaign during my last year as a Senior High School student. When I saw the brochure that says ‘ Family is the heart of our Mission ‘, it caught my attention and the curiosity I felt on that moment led me to know more about the Congregation. Then, I started communicating the Vocation Director.

With the opportunities given by the Congregation, with my experiences in the community, and the people around me helped me to grow deeper in my faith, in knowing myself and my relationship with God. It also builds up my confidence and enhanced the God given gifts such as playing the guitar, speaking in front of a crowd and building relationship within my community.

This is my 2nd-year as a postulant. I live in San Jose, Batangas, with three professed Sisters and my co-postulant. In August 2021, we started a formation course at the Guidance Center that focuses on psychology and spirituality. Our classmates are from different religious congregations and we meet with our formation instructor every Friday via ZOOM.

Sr. Maria Kristina

I was born 22 years ago in Panabo City, Province of Davao del Norte. I have four brothers and three sisters. I’m second from the youngest. I graduated from SHS with the strand of Home Economics. Presently, I am a Postulant of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

One of the ministries as Postulants is to continue attending modular formation class via Zoom at the Guidance Center that focusses on Psychology and Spiritual Integration. We also served in the Parish as lector, commentator and guitarist during Holy Mass.

Here are a few more things about myself. I possess many gifts. I like music and arts, and I love being creative and learning new things

I love Nazareth because of the family atmosphere that I felt within in the community.at ACES Polytechnic College.
