FROM NOVITIATE IN PHILIPPINES

I am Rhea A. Aceveda (Sr. Maria Claire  A. Aceveda, is my religious name).  I was born on 1986 in Calapan City Oriental Mindoro part of Luzon, Philippines.  My parents are Mr. Ruben M. Aceveda and Mrs. Elizabeth A. Aceveda. I have four sisters and I am the fourth of the five children.

I entered the Congregration of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in the year 2018. I have been accepted also as an affiliate that year.  I was a Postulant for two years from (2019-2021) I was accepted as a Novice on May 1, 2021.

I discovered that God calls me in this life to be with Him and I my respond is  YES to Him,  I want to be closer to Him and I love Him,  like Mother Mary she responded totally to God with her YES. I continue my journey here in this Congregation because I would like to take part in the Charism and Mission of this Congregation on which I felt that God is calling me to be His instrument in spreading the Kingdom of God’s love. I would like to serve every family to let them experience Gods love for them.  I got more interested about the life of the Holy Family.  I would like to know more about the hidden life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Nazareth and learn how to practice it.

I would like to continue my journey here in Nazareth. I hope and pray that someday I might become one of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.  What I like in Nazareth are the following:

I thank our Mother Foundress, 11 Martyred Sisters and Sister Maria Malgorzata Banas, for the inspirations of their words and good example as a follower of God. I learned a lot from them especially in trusting God and to be prayerful especially in the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Their examples led me to be more persevering in this life.  I experience the love, care, support, and concern of the Sisters. Their being faithful in prayer and their relationship with one another is like one family. I experience the family spirit in our community.  The sisters’ dedication to work and ministry gave me also inspiration and courage to be what a Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth would be like.  I like also the formation program of the Congregation on which it helps me a lot to grow in wholeness as a person.  I discover more about myself and who I am before God and who is God.

I am still a first year Novice but I am determined and desire to be a religious sister of Nazareth someday.
